Happy Friday! Fridays are going to look a little different than they have in the past around here! I decided to implement something called “Friday Five” in which I will share 5 things, or places or a combination of the two that rank my top 5 for the week. Enjoy! And if you have a suggestion make sure you post in the comments below!
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and although I have someone I could celebrate with, we prefer to ignore what we dub “Hallmark Holidays.” Instead, I’d much rather get together with some of my girlfriends from high school, eat some sweets, drink wine and catch up. This year I am hosting which means a little more preparation is needed on my end! Here are the 5 things I am making sure we have at our Galentine’s day party this year!
Love Balloon Banner
Seriously, how cute is this LOVE balloon? Not only can it function as a decoration but it could be a fun prop for photos! I may or may not have ordered multiples to keep in stock!
Its no surprise I’m a huge fan of fresh flowers. I usually make a point to pick up a bouquet about once a month just to spruce up my office coffee table or dining room table. My favorite places for great flowers at an even better price are Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s. You can usually find a great bouquet for around $10. I’ll skip the red roses for my gals though and will likely opt for what ever looks best. I won’t know until the day before!
I recently found this punch recipe on Pinterest and I’ve been dying to give it a try. Galentine’s day seemed like the perfect excuse to test it out!
Last year I tried to make Funfetti cake pops and although the were an A++ on taste the presentation could’ve been better executed. To make things easier, I am sticking to the Funfetti, but opting for a heart shaped pan. Not only is it easier and less time consuming to make, but clean up will be a breeze! Still the same great taste!
Lastly, what is Valentine’s Day without conversation hearts!? You can never go wrong with these!
So excited to get together with these ladies next week for a fun time of catching up! What are you doing for Valentine’s Day? Something special with your significant other? Or just spending it with friends? Let me know!
